Say hello to The Long Goodbyes!!!!!!!

Emerging from the creative watering ground of the South Coast of NSW in Australia, this three piece band is determined to shake up the industry, make a difference with their music and engage the ears of the global community with their hauntingly hip, groove induced, world friendly tunes.

After listening to their recently released first single " New thought" the band was chosen by Fox Studios director Christopher Robin Collins as the winner of a full production music video. Collins, who's company Flickapolitan Films has produced clips for a string of high profile artists during the eighties such as Chris Rea, Sam Brown and Howard Jones, scoured Sydney for a new sound but came away disappointed. After a chance meeting with the band while down the coast he was floored by the track on first listen and instantly announced them the winners. The video is an ethereal montage of haunting images inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite art movement.

The band has an eclectic mix of creative souls. The voice of singer/songwriter and artist Tracy Verdugo has been long compared to both free spirited Kate Bush, and Harriet Wheeler of the Sundays. Her passionate display of emotion is evident in all she sings or paints.

National award winning songwriter/guitarist Mex from the former Indie pop band Twinfish is also a talented engineer, recording and mixing all of The Long Goodbyes songs and mentoring others who have the burning desire to pursue their music.

Drummer, percussionist and keyboardist extraordinaire, John Coleman provides the rhythmic cohesion to the project, and an array of transient visiting musos add magic to the synergistic mix of songs.

Plans are in full swing for the release of their debut album next June, an album which will focus on subjects which both unite and separate us as human beings on this planet. With a strong holistic worldview these songs cross language barriers and provide a unique insight into the messages and sounds that non English languages provide. With an eclectic blend of Japanese, French, Spanish and English, vocals ranging from sultry to spiritually uplifting and a magic mix of music which will soothe and tantalise the senses, this album will be a "must have" in the collection of discerning music junkies.

The trio have recently inked a two album deal with Cantamar Records giving them the opportunity to keep creating without the rigours of touring.
