A Quick “Hello” from The Long Goodbyes
The Long Goodbyes hit a sweet spot someplace within the eclectic constellation of Power Pop, Classic Country, Bluegrass, Americana, and Rock & Roll. Smart songs laced with gripping melodies, tight harmonies, and quirky lyrics. The first single, “I’m Gonna Walk”, from their forthcoming album, is available on all streaming platforms.
THE LONG, GOOD BIO
The Long Goodbyes’ development has been akin to primordial matter coalescing into reality. They are life-long musicians and songwriters whose musical endeavors have, for assorted reasons, morphed, recalibrated, and adapted.
The band crawled onto shore in 2017, when four friends kept ending up in the same rooms with instruments, amps, microphones, and original songs… and they liked it. And then…there was that pandemic…enough said.
Finally, the air cleared, people crept cautiously from their homes, and the band regrouped with a real, live drummer.
The band embraces the fact that they are slightly more mature than your average rock/Americana band. Maturity is their strength. Their organic humility yields infectious melodies and harmonies. Unique voices making each song its own work and a piece of the collective TLG sound. “Primordial, life-long, mature”…make no mistake this band rocks, this band twangs, and this band is a joy to hear.
The Long Goodbyes have no illusions about anything (apart from perhaps world peace and healthcare for all). We are simply out to make our little blip on the radar of creativity, expression, and filling rooms with happy fans.
Evelyn Christian — Serenadist & keyboardist.
Garth Morrisette — Crooner & player of the rhythm guitar.
Antonio — Vocalizer & master of the bass guitar.
Jeff Mueller — Operator of drums, percussion, & keeps mouth shut.

That joy is on full display on the band’s self-titled album released today on all major streaming platforms. The album was engineered and mixed by local legend Tom Herbers and features nine original songs and a cover of the John Prine song Your Flag Decal Won’t Get You Into Heaven Anymore.
The release features several great songwriters, but individual personalities shine through on each song. Each songwriter brings their own set of influences—The Band, Tom Petty, Patsy Cline, Neil Young, Cash and Carter, and John Prine. The members support each other’s work with lush vocal harmonies, beautiful, melodic guitar work, and a rock-solid rhythm section. The result is a record full of songs that evoke the vocal collage of The Traveling Wilburys, but also the more woven fabric of Fleetwood Mac and The Punch Brothers.
The Long Goodbyes celebrate their album release with an 8:30 pm show at The Aster Café, September 20, 2025. $13 cover. Reservations are highly suggested. To reserve your spot, go to www.exploretock.com/astercafe/ or scan this QR code.
